Demons come in different categories , they operate in diverse forms according to their make up , source and function . Demons are dispersed every where to perform particular assignment for satan in the lives of human beings , so demons can be named according to their habitat or mission in the lives of people . The following are some of the names of the demons :
1. Familiar Spirits
Familiar spirits are the kind of demons that familiarize with people and families , for the purpose of getting more information , or monitoring them so as to destroy the lives of those people or other people around them .
Familiar spirits are able to get acquainted with human feelings ,emotions ,likes , interests , dislikes , hobbies , games , etc and moreover they can become enfranchised with the person's environment or profession .They can help people to overdo what they enjoy doing most so that they can get them to destroy them through that thing .
For instance if you like drinking strong drinks or spirits , such familiar spirits can build more interest in your drinking habit , when they possess your body . When that happens , you begin to over drink until the drinking habit becomes excessive . That is when that familiar spirit has managed to make you a drunkard . Familiar spirits can also give information to witch doctors , sorcerers , soothsayers , necromancers , star readers, prognosticators, about you so that they can know how they can strategically destroy you .
Familiar spirits help prognosticators to foretell future events , the same way the Holy Ghost helps prophets to prophesy to people .

2. Marine spirits
Marine spirits are the kind of demons that live inside the water or have their origin from water . They come into contact with you when a covenant is created through a ritual means , by way of water . Marine spirits may originally come from the river , sea , pool of water , flood of water , drinking water , well of water , pipe-born water , swimming pool , etc .
The marine spirits are usually called mermaid demons , they are also locally called '' maame water '' spirits by some West African countries . Maame water , means the woman who comes from the water , this is because it is believed that this demon usually appears as a beautiful lady to most people who have encounter with this spirits .
However , the demons that live in the water can appear in any form , shape , object , animal or human form for the very purpose of manipulation of human lives . There are male forms of the water spirits as well as animal forms in addition to the female forms that people are very much acquainted with . I once delivered a lady who was married to spirit husband from the water , according to this lady the demon would appear in the human form physically as a man , have sex with her , give her gifts in cash and kind including personal effects and then disappears , only to appear another time .
When she was brought to me she was mute , couldn't speak , until I prayed and cast out the spirit , then she started talking . This happened because she had opened up to a pastor before , who did not cast out the demon . So the demon made sure she was silenced by making her dumb. One can easily contract water spirits by bathing at beaches without praying , or performing rituals by the sea side . This demons can also enter you when you have sex in the water with your lover , especially if the person is not your legal spouse .

3. Occultic Spirits
Occultic spirits are in the category of demons who empower men and women into occultic worship .Such demons come into the occultist person through a medium of rituals that the person may perform . The occultic demon enters the person when he breaks the rules of life , the law of God or the word of God . If a person is in the habit of adultery , murder , lesbianism , homosexuality , promiscuity, rape , armed-robbery etc. Occultic demons can enter people when they come together as a group to worship something demonic in the physical , where they have meetings in a physical venue .
These group of people might have some covenant rituals , with blood of animals or human beings , they enter into satanic worship by oath of allegiance or secrecy . This happens when they make vows to each other before a deity to oblige to a commitment of doing evil .Usually they bind themselves with greed , oaths, vows , symbols and the like . These occultic demons use the members to practice all forms of evil things including , killing pregnant woman for money rituals , sleeping with mad women , sleeping with virgins , drinking human blood , and doing all forms of wickedness .

4. Witchcraft spirits
Witchcraft spirits are the demons that possess people and make them witches . These are evil spirits , that are described as spiritual wickedness in high places , They possess the body and the spirits of their victims . Witchcraft demons possess the spirits of the person when the covenant of witchcraft has been created through food , water , drink or blood .
Witchcraft demons take their victims to spiritual meeting place , where they appear in the form of various wild or domestic animals usually animals not edible by most people .Witchcraft demons may appear in the form of cat, dog , snake , lizard , owl , bat , cockroach , crocodile and the like . Every witch operates with a particular witchcraft animal with which he or she goes to meetings to the witchcraft coven .
Witches are also initiated by demons through the sacrifice of human beings usually a loved one , example , a daughter , mother , son , father, brother , sister ,and the like . These sacrifices are repeated periodically as the demon of the witch might demand , when that happens they are promoted to their next rank in their hierarchy .

5. Fetish spirit ;
Fetish demons are the kind of demons that the fetish priest uses ,example dwarfs and the like . These demons mostly live in the plants until they are connected to a fetish priest . Such demons do not operate alone , they operate with other human beings and or animals . Fetish demons make use of water, sand , air , eggs, horns, strong drinks like alcohol or spirits as well as animal blood to perform rituals to cast spell on people .
Fetish demons also are very skillful in using herbs { leaves } for the purpose of rituals , curing diseases in exchange for the glory of the sick person . This means the person is cured but another devilish problem is given to the person to replace the sickness .Fetish demons can possess a person and used him or her against their wish . This means those demons use human beings as fetish priest , without their consent .

6. Religious demons
Religious demons , are the kind of demons that promote false religion , or religious deception . These demons when they possess a person , the person become so religious , but he or she might fight against a genuine christian strongly . These demons produce false Christians , false religion ,and false christian leaders .Religious demons bring all kind of religions into the world . They make sinners appear so holy ,even though they are sinful and wicked . Religious demons make people use religion to perpetuate much evil in the name of religion .
They make ritualist appear religious , although they are performing all forms of ritual murders , divination and the like . The religious demons can mesmerize people to follow the person they are using to deceive people .
